Obama Wins New Hampshire ‘Money Primary’
Illinois Senator’s Fundraising in the Granite State Leaves Clinton in the Dust

The people of New Hampshire have invested more than just hope in Barack Obama this past year. After his decisive win in the Iowa caucuses, Obama rocketed past Hillary Clinton in surveys of likely voters in tomorrow’s Democratic primary, but he’s also been decisively outpacing Clinton in fundraising in the state for more than a year.
In the first nine months of 2007, in fact, Obama raised at least $237,461 from New Hampshirites — nearly two and a half times the $95,080 reported by Clinton. (John Edwards was a distant third at $46,750.)
The Center for Public Integrity used data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics
While Obama has done dramatically better than Clinton with small donors in New Hampshire, as he has nationwide, the Center’s analysis shows that he’s also found more people there willing to give the maximum allowable amount of $2,300.
