Conventional Convention Dollars

Steve Farber, the Denver lawyer heading up fundraising for the Democratic convention, is leaning on his corporate connections to bankroll the August event, according to The New York Times.
Farber’s firm, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schrec, is “one of the fastest-growing lobbying shops in Washington and one of the most powerful firms in the West,” The Times says. Of the corporate sponsors of the convention, six are clients of the firm: UnitedHealth Group, AT&T, Comcast, the National Association of Home Builders, Western Union, and Google.
