Businessman Philip J. Martin resigns as a co-chairman of Republican Fred Thompson’s presidential campaign following the exposure of his criminal record by The Washington Post . Thompson will stop flying on Martin’s private jet, which has saved his campaign more than $100,000 in transportation costs.
