Bill Clinton was the star attraction yesterday at a $2,300-a-person fundraiser for his wife organized by prominent Jewish philanthropists in California, The New York Sun reports. The event was not listed on his public schedule.
Democrat Hillary Clinton’s chief spokesman, Howard Wolfson, said the event was part of the campaign’s “Jewish outreach.” The Clintons have also done such events this week to raise money from Irish-Americans, Asian-Americans, and Americans of Indian descent, the newspaper said.
