Unity08, a nonprofit 527 organization that’s been trying to create a bipartisan presidential ticket in 2008, announces that it is abandoning its efforts. In announcing the decision, the group’s directors blame the Federal Election Commission for limiting its fundraising potential, “especially in the crucial early going.”
