There’s Always Money in the Banana Stand

John McCain fundraiser Carl H. Lindner, Jr., oversaw Chiquita Brands International, best known for its bananas, during the period that the company directed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Colombian terrorist organizations, The Huffington Post points out.
Chiquita was paying the Colombian groups for protection in the war-torn country. The company reported the payments to the Justice Department in 2003 and reached a settlement with the DOJ in 2007.
